Wang Hedi

Wang Hedi, also known as Dylan Wang, is a Chinese actor and singer born on December 20, 1998, in Leshan, Sichuan province. He gained widespread popularity through his leading television roles, including his acting debut as Daoming Si in Meteor Garden, Dongfang Qingcang in Love Between Fairy and Devil, and Xu Qi'an in Guardians of the Dafeng.

Growing up in Leshan, Wang was raised by parents who worked at a local pharmaceutical factory before opening a fried skewer restaurant. He developed a passion for basketball at an early age and was a fan of LeBron James. At age 14, he moved to Chengdu to attend a vocational high school and later studied at the Sichuan Southwest Vocational College of Civil Aviation, where he appeared on recruitment posters for the Flight Attendant program. In 2016, he won the inaugural Sichuan Campus Celebrity Gala competition.

Wang officially entered the entertainment industry in June 2017 after winning the Youku talent competition show Super Idol, catching the attention of producer Angie Chai. He made his acting debut in 2018 starring in Meteor Garden. That same year, he joined the sports show Super Penguin League and became a regular cast member on the reality series The Inn. In the following years, he appeared in programs such as Chinese Restaurant 3, The Summer Palace, and The Irresistable, while taking lead roles in Ever Night season two, The Rational Life, and Miss the Dragon.

In 2022, Wang experienced a career breakthrough with his performance in the xianxia drama Love Between Fairy and Devil, which achieved high viewership rankings globally and rapidly expanded his social media following. Following this success, he was selected for China Movie Channel's 2022 Stars and Seas Young Actors Selection Program. During this period, he joined variety programs including Hello, Saturday and Wonderland, while starring in series such as Unchained Love, Never Give Up, and Only for Love.

Wang continued to expand his career across television, film, and live performances. He participated in the 2024 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game and held major music concerts in Bangkok in December 2024 and Macau in January 2026. His later screen projects included the period series Guardians of the Dafeng, the drama Light to the Night, the xianxia adaptation Live Long and Prosper, and Empress Reborn, alongside returning to The Inn 2026 as inn manager. In film, he starred in the docu-fiction feature I Dreamed a Dream and the science fiction film Per Aspera Ad Astra.

Alongside his acting career, Wang has endorsed numerous domestic and international brands, serving as a house ambassador for Louis Vuitton and global ambassador for Guerlain, Bose, and Yadea. In December 2022, he launched his own fashion label, D.DESIRABLE, which subsequently opened physical retail stores in Shanghai and Guangzhou and hosted an international pop-up in Singapore.
