Zhang Linghe

Zhang Linghe, born Zhang Jiawei on December 30, 1997, in Wuxi, Jiangsu, China, is a Chinese actor and model. He attended Jiangsu Tianyi High School and was admitted to Nanjing Normal University in 2016, where he majored in electrical engineering. Driven by an interest in physics, he joined the university's Aerospace Society during his studies.

Zhang made his television acting debut in the costume romance drama Maiden Holmes and starred in the youth romance drama Sparkle Love. He subsequently appeared in the urban romance drama Love Crossed and the youth school drama Flourish in Time. In 2022, he achieved wider recognition after portraying Chang Heng, the god of war, in the costume fairy tale drama Love Between Fairy and Devil.

Zhang achieved breakout success with his performances as Gong Ziyu in the historical drama My Journey to You and Xie Wei in the costume romance drama Story of Kunning Palace. In 2025, he played He Suye, a traditional Chinese medicine doctor, in the modern romance drama The Best Thing, and starred as Jiang Qiaoxi in the youth romance drama Our Generation. His notable work also includes the project Overdo.

In March 2026, Zhang starred as the lead character Xie Zheng in the historical drama Pursuit of Jade. The series recorded heat indexes exceeding 31,000 on Tencent and 10,000 on iQIYI within one week of broadcast, and debuted at number six on Netflix's Global Top 10 Non-English Shows chart. His portrayal of a disguised marquis received praise from viewers and media outlets, and earned him a nomination for Best Actor at the Seoul Drama Awards as the only male Chinese actor nominated in that category.

During a promotional appearance for Pursuit of Jade on the variety show Hello Saturday, Zhang made a joking comment about a drawing by co-star Tian. After receiving criticism from Southeast Asian viewers who interpreted the remark as stereotypical, Zhang issued an apology in Chinese and English expressing appreciation for fans in the region. Following the success of the drama, Zhang became the first Chinese actor invited by the Taiwan Affairs Office to speak at the annual Straits Forum in Xiamen, where he advocated for cross-strait cultural exchange before an audience of approximately 6,000 attendees, prompting mixed public responses.

Beyond acting, Zhang has represented numerous prominent brands. He has served as an ambassador for Lancôme, Chopard, Roger Vivier, Gucci, Gucci Beauty, Bulgari, Wang Laoji, and Carslan, and was appointed Lee's first-ever Asia-Pacific brand ambassador. He is also a China brand spokesperson for Lenovo, Motorola, CeraVe, Puma, Belle, Vatti, Inoherb, and Dreame. In philanthropy, Zhang donated to the Han Hong Charity Foundation to aid victims of the 2025 Tibet earthquake and the Wang Fuk Court fire in Hong Kong. In April 2026, he became an ambassador for WildAid and starred in their documentary series The Answer is Earth.
