Luo Yunxi

Luo Yunxi, born July 28, 1988, and also known as Leo Luo, is a Chinese actor, singer, and dancer. He first gained recognition for his role in My Sunshine (2015) and subsequently earned widespread acclaim for his performances in Ashes of Love (2018), Love Is Sweet (2020), Till the End of the Moon (2023), and Whispers of Fate (2025). He graduated from the Shanghai Theater Academy, majoring in ballet.

Born Luo Yi in Chengdu, Sichuan, China, Luo began learning dance at five from his father, a professional instructor. He completed eleven years of ballet training. In 2005, he chose to attend the Shanghai Theater Academy over the Beijing Dance Academy. In 2008, he performed the group ballet "Tchaikovsky Rhapsody" at the 6th Lotus Award National College Dance Competition, where his impromptu solo "The Burning Flame" helped the group win a gold medal. After graduating, he taught at the School of Dance of Macao Conservatory and performed as a lead dancer in the contemporary ballet "Flying to the Moon" for the 10th anniversary of Macau's transfer of sovereignty in 2009.

Luo entered the music industry in 2010 with the three-member group JBOY3, releasing singles including "Promise of Love," "Gravity," and "Walking Emoji" before the group disbanded in 2012. He then formed the duo Double JL with Jason Fu, releasing the singles "JL" and "Us." During this period, he auditioned for the competition show Asian Wave and hosted the internet variety program Music ShowShowShow. Double JL disbanded in 2013. Luo made his acting debut in the romantic film The Spring of My Life, filmed in 2012 and released in 2015.

Luo expanded his television career with roles in Flip in Summer, Hello Aliens, Voice of the Dead, and Fox in the Screen. He experienced a surge in popularity playing the younger counterpart of the male lead in My Sunshine, later co-starring in A Life Time Love and taking a lead role in Children's Hospital Pediatrician.

In 2018, Luo starred in Princess Silver and achieved widespread prominence in the fantasy romance Ashes of Love as the Night Immortal. He subsequently appeared in Broker, And The Winner Is Love, Immortality, and played an investment executive in Love is Sweet. He continued appearing in modern dramas such as Lie to Love, Light Chaser Rescue, and the medical romance Love is Panacea.

Luo achieved international acclaim for his starring role in the 2023 xianxia drama Till the End of the Moon. He subsequently starred in the fantasy wuxia series Whispers of Fate, the suspense thriller The Truth Within, and the supernatural period drama Shadow Punisher. Beyond acting, Madame Tussauds museums in Shanghai and Beijing installed wax figures of Luo in July 2023. That same month, he became the Chinese culture spokesperson for League of Legends, and in October 2023, he was named China-Thailand Cultural Friendship Ambassador by the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
