Leo Woodall

Leo Vincent Woodall is an English actor who gained recognition for his television roles in the second season of the HBO black comedy drama anthology series The White Lotus and the Netflix romantic drama miniseries One Day. He has since appeared in projects across television and film, including the Apple TV+ thriller series Prime Target and the romantic comedy film Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy.

Woodall was born on 14 September 1996 in Hammersmith, London, and grew up in Shepherd's Bush, London. He comes from a family of actors that includes his father Andrew, his stepfather, and his grandmother, and his parents originally met at drama school. His mother, Jane, was married to actor Alexander Morton until his death in 2026. Woodall is also a descendant of Maxine Elliott. He attended Richmond Park Academy, which was previously known as Shene School. Although he initially planned to pursue a career in sports, he decided to turn to acting after watching the television series Peaky Blinders at age 19. He went on to attend the Arts Educational School (ArtsEd), graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in acting in 2019.

Woodall made his television debut in 2019 with a guest role in the BBC One medical soap opera Holby City, and he also appeared in the short film Man Down. That same summer, he was selected from over 28,000 submissions for a role in the feature film Nomad, which was filmed across more than 20 countries. He subsequently made his feature film debut in Cherry, directed by the Russo brothers, and played Adrian Ivashkov in the Peacock series Vampire Academy.

Woodall's career reached a wider audience when he joined the main cast for the second season of HBO's The White Lotus, set in Sicily, playing a character named Jack. To prepare for the role and adopt the character's Essex accent, he watched videos of television personality Joey Essex. In 2023, he was named a Screen International Star of Tomorrow and took on a recurring role in the Amazon Prime series Citadel.

In 2024, Woodall starred in his breakthrough lead role as Dexter Mayhew opposite Ambika Mod in Netflix's One Day, an adaptation of David Nicholls's novel. His performance in the miniseries earned critical acclaim. His work continued into 2025 with a lead role as a mathematician in the Apple TV+ thriller series Prime Target, a starring role as Roxster alongside Renée Zellweger in Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, and a depiction of American army Sgt. Howie Triest in the film Nuremberg. He was also cast in the crime thriller film Tuner.

In his personal life, Woodall confirmed in November 2023 that he was in a relationship with his The White Lotus co-star Meghann Fahy.
