Meghann Fahy

Meghann Alexandra Fahy is an American actress born on April 25, 1990. She initially gained recognition for her television role as Hannah O'Connor on the ABC daytime soap opera One Life to Live and her Broadway debut in the musical Next to Normal. She later achieved a breakthrough starring role as Sutton Brady on the Freeform drama series The Bold Type, which aired from 2017 to 2021.

Fahy was raised in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, where she sang at various local events from an early age. Her initial acting experience came when she played Dorothy Gale in a senior class production of The Wizard of Oz at Longmeadow High School. At the start of her professional career, she supported herself by working as a waitress at The Grey Dog in New York City and as a nanny.

Her professional stage career began in late 2008 when she was cast as a standby for the role of Natalie Goodman in Arena Stage's production of Next to Normal. She remained with the production when it moved to Broadway in 2009 and took over as the principal actor for Natalie in July 2010, performing until the show closed in January 2011. She briefly reprised the role on tour in 2011. Her additional theater work includes performing in The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown at Goodspeed Opera House in 2011, a concert reading of Twilight: The Musical in 2012, We Are The Tigers in 2015, Lost Girls off-Broadway in 2015, and Penelope Skinner's play Linda in 2017.

Fahy made her television debut on One Life to Live in February 2010. She followed this with a guest appearance on Gossip Girl and a role in the 2011 Hallmark Hall of Fame television film The Lost Valentine. Her early television credits also include appearances in the miniseries Political Animals and the series Necessary Roughness. In film, she made her feature debuts in the 2015 drama films Those People and Burning Bodhi.

After starring in The Bold Type, Fahy was cast in the drama film The Unbreakable Boy in 2020. In 2022, she earned critical acclaim for playing Daphne Sullivan in the second season of the HBO drama anthology series The White Lotus. For this performance, she won a Screen Actors Guild Award as part of the ensemble and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

Fahy continued her screen career with prominent roles in the Netflix mystery series The Perfect Couple in 2024, the thriller film Drop in 2025, and the limited series Sirens in 2025. Her work in Sirens earned her a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie. She was also announced to star in the thriller film Banquet. In her personal life, she confirmed her relationship with her The White Lotus co-star Leo Woodall in November 2023.
