Acclaimed American actress Meghann Fahy stepped into the spotlight on October 6, 2026, as Peacock debuted the dramatic first trailer for her upcoming mystery series The Good Daughter. Co-starring alongside Rose Byrne, Fahy leads the six-episode limited series based on Karin Slaughter's 2017 bestselling suspense novel. The newly released footage highlights Fahy in a demanding dramatic lead role, navigating unresolved childhood trauma and complex family loyalties in a small Southern town.
In the series, Fahy plays Charlotte Quinn, a dedicated attorney living in the fictional town of Pikeville. Twenty years after enduring a life-altering night of violence as a child, Charlotte becomes the first witness on the scene of a new violent attack. As she becomes involved in the investigation alongside her estranged sister Samantha, played by Byrne, buried family secrets resurface. The production is showrun by author Karin Slaughter and executive produced by Bruna Papandrea's Made Up Stories, with veteran actor Brendan Gleeson playing the sisters' patriarch.
Raised in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, Fahy began her professional career on stage, making her Broadway debut as Natalie Goodman in the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Next to Normal in 2010. She subsequently transitioned to television with roles on the daytime soap opera One Life to Live and the popular Freeform drama series The Bold Type, where she played fashion editor Sutton Bleecker for five seasons.
Fahy achieved widespread global recognition and critical praise for her portrayal of Daphne Sullivan in the second season of HBO's hit anthology series The White Lotus in 2022. Her performance earned her a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Ensemble in a Drama Series. She followed that success with roles in Netflix's mystery miniseries The Perfect Couple.
All six episodes of The Good Daughter are scheduled to launch on Peacock on November 12, 2026. The series positions Fahy in a central dramatic starring role, continuing her momentum as one of modern television's most compelling performers.
