Julia Fox

Julia Francesca Fox is an Italian and American actress, model, media personality, and author who is known for her acting roles, eccentric fashion style, and online presence. She launched her career across various creative fields, including fashion design with her knitwear brand Franziska Fox, fine art, photography, and modeling, which included appearing in Playboy's final nude issue in 2015. Over the years, she has landed major fashion campaigns with brands such as Tiffany & Co., Diesel, Coach New York, and Supreme, alongside appearing in publications like Vogue, Elle Brasil, and New York Magazine.

Born in Milan to an Italian mother and an American father, Fox spent her early childhood split between Italy and New York City. She was raised partly by her grandfather near Milan before moving to Manhattan's Yorkville neighborhood to live with her father. As a teenager, she moved back and forth between Italy and New York, experiencing periods of living away from home, working various retail and odd jobs, and later briefly studying media studies at The New School.

Fox achieved her major acting breakthrough in 2019, starring alongside Adam Sandler in the Safdie brothers' film Uncut Gems. Her portrayal of showroom saleswoman Howard Ratner's mistress earned her a nomination for the Breakthrough Actor Award at the 2019 Gotham Awards. Following her feature debut, she took on roles in films such as PVT Chat, No Sudden Move, Puppet, The Trainer, HIM, Idiotka, and Night Always Comes. Her television credits include appearances in the series Fantasmas and Adults.

In addition to acting and modeling, Fox has expanded into writing, filmmaking, and audio media. She wrote and directed the 2021 short film Fantasy Girls and served as an executive producer on the feature film Something You Said Last Night. In October 2023, she published her memoir, Down the Drain, through Simon & Schuster, later releasing a single of the same name. She also co-hosts the Spotify podcast Forbidden Fruits with Niki Takesh.
