Christopher Briney

Christopher Thomas Briney is an American actor born on March 24, 1998. He is best known for his breakthrough role as Conrad Fisher in the Amazon Prime Video teen romance series The Summer I Turned Pretty, appearing in the production from 2022 to 2025. He is also recognized for starring in the 2024 teen musical comedy film Mean Girls.

Briney was born in Danbury, Connecticut, to parents who were actors that originally met in New York City. He was raised alongside one sister. He attended the Waterbury Arts Magnet School and furthered his early theatrical training by participating in a five-week intensive theater program at Wesleyan University in 2015.

In 2016, Briney relocated to New York City to enroll at Pace University. While attending college, he worked at a Trader Joe's store. He graduated from Pace University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in acting.

Briney began his screen career in 2021 after being discovered by director Mary Harron, who cast him in the feature film Dalíland. He subsequently made his television debut in Amazon Prime Video's The Summer I Turned Pretty, adapted from the book series of the same name by Jenny Han. Han noted that choosing Briney to play Conrad was the easiest casting decision for the production.

In 2024, Briney played the role of Aaron Samuels in the musical film Mean Girls. The following year, he expanded into theater by making his off-Broadway debut in 2025 in the play Dilaria, written by Julia Randall.

In his personal life, Briney has been in a relationship with Isabel Machado since 2021. The two first met while studying as fellow acting students at Pace University.
