In 2018, Rapp gained regional attention by winning Best Actress at the Blumey Awards for portraying Sandra in a high school production of Big Fish. Rapp began her professional stage career in 2018 with a role as Wendla in a regional production of Spring Awakening at Theatre Charlotte. Her debut full-length studio album, Snow Angel, was released in August 2023, accompanied by the international Snow Hard Feelings tour and a deluxe edition featuring a collaboration with Coco Jones.

Rapp expanded her screen career by reprising her role as Regina George in the 2024 musical film adaptation of Mean Girls and contributing to its soundtrack. She performed as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live alongside Megan Thee Stallion in January 2024. Expanding her musical output, Rapp announced her second studio album, Bite Me, launching it with the single "Leave Me Alone" and a performance at the American Music Awards in May 2025. The album was released on August 1, 2025.
