Jamie Lynn Spears

Jamie Lynn Spears is an American actress and singer born on April 4, 1991, in McComb, Mississippi, and raised in Kentwood, Louisiana. The youngest child of Lynne Irene and James "Jamie" Parnell Spears, she grew up alongside her two older siblings, Bryan and Britney Spears. During her youth, she attended Parklane Academy, where she participated in cheerleading, basketball, dance, voice lessons, and local performances, while also traveling with her sister Britney. While later filming in Los Angeles, she studied with tutors and eventually completed her high school education online, receiving her GED in February 2008.

Spears began her career as a child performer, making her acting debut in 2002 with a cameo in the film Crossroads as a younger version of her sister's character. That same year, she worked as a model and joined the main cast of the Nickelodeon sketch comedy series All That, appearing as a regular until 2004. Her breakthrough came after signing a development deal with Nickelodeon in 2004 to star as Zoey Brooks in the teen sitcom Zoey 101. Premiering in 2005, the show ran for four seasons, and Spears also recorded its theme song, "Follow Me." During this era, she earned a Young Artist Award and a Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award for her performance.

In December 2007, at the age of 16, Spears generated widespread media attention when she announced her pregnancy. Her daughter, Maddie Briann Aldridge, was born in June 2008. Following her daughter's birth, Spears stepped away from acting for five years to raise her child in Mississippi. During her career hiatus, she focused on her personal life before deciding to resume her entertainment work in Nashville.

Spears returned to the public eye in 2011 to pursue a career in country music. In November 2013, she released her debut single, "How Could I Want More," which debuted on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. In addition to releasing her own music, Spears co-wrote the 2015 certified-platinum single "I Got the Boy" for country artist Jana Kramer. Spears resumed her acting career in 2019 when Netflix cast her as Noreen Fitzgibbons in the romantic drama series Sweet Magnolias, a role she continued playing as a series regular. In 2020, she recorded an updated version of the Zoey 101 theme song with Chantel Jeffries. She later published a memoir titled Things I Should Have Said: Family, Fame, and Figuring it Out in January 2022, which appeared on the Publishers Weekly Bestseller List.

In 2023, Spears expanded her work in reality and non-scripted television, participating in competitions such as Special Forces: World's Toughest Test, Dancing with the Stars, and the British series I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!. That same year, she served as an executive producer and reprised her leading role in the sequel film Zoey 102, which released on Paramount+. Her career accolades include a Gracie Award, two Kids' Choice Awards, and two Young Artist Awards.
