Later in her career, she became prominently recognized for her long-standing appearance on the reality television series The Real Housewives of Atlanta from 2012 to 2025.
Born on January 24, 1971, in Detroit, Michigan, Moore was raised by her paternal grandmother and aunt following her mother's departure shortly after her birth. She attended Cass Technical High School, graduating in 1989, during which time she survived an abusive relationship. She subsequently pursued higher education at Wayne State University, earning a degree with a major in psychology and a minor in communication.
Moore began modeling at age 14, appearing on magazine covers such as Ebony Man, Glamour, Seventeen, Ebony, and Essence, as well as working with the Ebony Fashion Fair cosmetic line. In 1993, at age 22, she was crowned Miss Michigan USA and went on to win Miss USA, becoming the second African American woman to achieve the title. She went on to represent the United States at the Miss Universe pageant that same year, finishing in the top six.
Expanding into acting, Moore secured guest roles on numerous television shows throughout the 1990s and 2000s, including The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Living Single, The Jamie Foxx Show, The Parent 'Hood, Martin, and Girlfriends. Her film credits include roles in Waiting to Exhale, Senseless, Trois, Deliver Us from Eva, and I Know Who Killed Me. Additionally, she featured in music videos for various popular R&B and hip-hop artists.
Beyond acting, Moore established the production company Moore Vision Media in 2008, directing and producing projects such as Trapped: Haitian Nights and producing the thriller The Confidant. She authored a relationship advice book in 2007, released the music single Gone With the Wind Fabulous in 2012, launched an exercise video in 2013, and established a hair care line in 2014.
Moore expanded her media footprint through extensive reality television appearances, joining The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2012.
