Olivia Jade

Olivia Jade Giannulli, born September 28, 1999, is an American YouTuber and social media personality. She is known for her digital lifestyle content as well as her high-profile involvement in the 2019 college admissions scandal. She is the daughter of actress Lori Loughlin and fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli. As of 2026, both her YouTube and Instagram accounts have accumulated more than one million followers.

Olivia grew up alongside her older sister, Isabella, and an older half-brother, Gianni. In 2017, while in high school, she crashed her car while filming herself singing along to a Stevie Wonder song on her phone, which raised safety concerns among her social media audience. She graduated from Marymount High School in Los Angeles in 2018 and subsequently enrolled at the University of Southern California (USC).

Her career began in 2014 when she launched a lifestyle YouTube channel and an Instagram profile. She monetized her social media platforms through commercial endorsements and advertisements for brands such as Amazon and Sephora. In 2016, she appeared on the game show Tap that Awesome App to compete for a charity prize. In 2018, she applied to trademark "Olivia Jade" and "Olivia Jade Beauty," which were approved in April 2019 after initial delays due to poor punctuation.

In 2019, Olivia became a central subject of the "Varsity Blues" college admissions bribery scandal. According to a federal indictment, her parents paid over $500,000 in bribes to designate her and her sister as crew team recruits for USC. Olivia posed on an ergometer rowing machine for faked athletic photos submitted with her application, despite having no involvement or interest in the sport. Reports also indicated an employee of the conspiracy ringleader completed her USC application for her.

The disclosure of the admissions scheme resulted in major personal and commercial repercussions. Corporate partners including Sephora and TRESemmé dropped their business relationships with her. Olivia experienced public shaming and online backlash, leading her to disable comments on her Instagram account. Although initial reports questioned her status at USC, the university registrar confirmed in October 2019 that she and her sister were no longer enrolled.

In December 2019, Olivia released a YouTube video titled "Hi Again," stating she was legally barred from addressing the controversy directly. Her involvement was later highlighted in the Netflix documentary film Operation Varsity Blues: The College Admissions Scandal. In September 2021, she returned to public entertainment as a contestant on season 30 of Dancing with the Stars, partnered with Valentin Chmerkovskiy, where the couple finished in eighth place.
