Hanni Pham

Hanni Pham, whose Vietnamese name is Phạm Ngọc Hân, is an Australian singer based in South Korea. She is best known as a member of the South Korean girl group NewJeans, which debuted under the record label ADOR in July 2022. Outside of her musical performances, she has engaged in songwriting for the group and represented several prominent international fashion and beauty brands.

Hanni was born on 6 October 2004 in Melbourne, Australia, to Vietnamese parents. Her father is originally from Hanoi, while her mother is from Ho Chi Minh City. Growing up in Melbourne, she developed an interest in performance that eventually led to her pursuing a career in the South Korean entertainment industry.

In 2019, Hanni began performing in her hometown as a member of the Aemina Dance Crew, a group specializing in covering K-pop choreography. She subsequently moved to Seoul to start her period as a trainee, despite not knowing how to speak the Korean language at the time. Prior to her formal music debut, she made a cameo appearance alongside fellow group member Minji in the July 2021 music video for the song "Permission to Dance" by BTS.

On 1 July 2022, ADOR began teasing the launch of its first girl group by posting three animated videos showing the numbers "22", "7", and "22" on social media. Hanni officially debuted with NewJeans on 22 July 2022 through the surprise release of their single "Attention", which was launched without prior promotion or information regarding the lineup. Following her debut, Hanni contributed to the group's music by writing lyrics for two of their tracks: "Hype Boy" and "OMG".

Throughout her career, Hanni has secured numerous brand endorsements and fashion partnerships. In October 2022, she was signed as a brand ambassador for Gucci, and was named a global ambassador for the brand in February 2023. She appeared in a 2023 campaign for the Gucci Horsebit 1955 bag alongside Halle Bailey and Julia Garner, and served as the sole model for its 2024 global campaign developed by creative director Sabato de Sarno. She was also named a global ambassador for Gucci Beauty in 2024. In addition, Hanni became a global ambassador for Armani Beauty in February 2023, appearing in campaigns for its Power Fabric+ Foundation and Lip Maestro Satin lipstick, and became a global ambassador for UGG in March 2024.

Hanni has also been featured on the covers of major fashion publications. In August 2023, she appeared on the cover of Elle's D Edition in collaboration with Chaumet. She collaborated with Chaumet again in March 2024 for the cover of Marie Claire Korea's digital issue. In February 2024, she was featured on the cover of W Korea in a photo shoot shot by Hiroshi Fujiwara.

On 15 October 2024, Hanni testified before the Labour Committee of South Korea's National Assembly regarding her experiences with Hybe Corporation. The committee considered whether labor rights should extend to contracted entertainers. During the hearing, Hanni and ADOR CEO Ju Young Kim answered questions concerning workplace bullying and dispute resolution, with Hanni recalling experiences of being ostracized and expressing gratitude for support from the Australian Embassy. The case was ultimately dismissed by the government agency because K-pop group members are not classified as workers entitled to labor rights. Later, on 29 December 2025, an agreement was announced for Hanni to return to ADOR.
