Chae Jong-hyeop

Chae Jong-hyeop is a South Korean actor. He is best known for his leading roles in various television series, including The Witch's Diner, Love All Play, Unlock My Boss, Castaway Diva, Serendipity's Embrace, and In Your Radiant Season.

Chae was born on May 19, 1993. During his youth, he resided in South Africa for five years for his studies. Regarding his military service, he was exempt from mandatory duty due to health reasons. After initially being judged as a 4th-grade supplementary service agent, a 2018 re-examination resulted in a 5th-grade wartime worker classification after an EEG test led to an epilepsy diagnosis, for which he has taken medication for a decade as of January 2023.

He began his acting career with a brief appearance in the MBC every1 series Webtoon Hero - Tundra Show Season 2. In 2017, he debuted in web dramas, appearing in Between Friends and No Bad Days. He continued his work in web series by joining the cast of No Bad Days Season 2 in 2018 and Rumor in 2019.

Chae gained widespread public recognition through his performance in the 2019–2020 SBS sports drama Hot Stove League, playing a baseball pitcher named Yoo Min-ho in a series that achieved high viewership ratings. In 2021, he brought further attention to his career by appearing in the JTBC drama Sisyphus: The Myth alongside Cho Seung-woo and Park Shin-hye. That same year, he joined the cast of JTBC's Nevertheless alongside Song Kang and Han So-hee, and starred in TVING's original drama The Witch's Diner alongside Song Ji-hyo and Nam Ji-hyun.

Continuing his screen career, Chae acted in the drama Love All Play in 2022 and made a cameo appearance in Shooting Stars. Between 2022 and 2023, he secured lead roles in Unlock My Boss and Castaway Diva. His later projects include the 2024 drama Serendipity's Embrace and the 2026 MBC TV romance drama In Your Radiant Season, in which he starred opposite Lee Sung-kyung.
