Lee Sung-kyung

Lee Sung-kyung is a South Korean model, actress, and singer recognized for her work across television, film, and music. Born on August 10, 1990, in Goyang, South Korea, she has built a prominent career in the country's entertainment industry. She is widely known for her television roles in series such as Cheese in the Trap, The Doctors, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo, and the medical drama Dr. Romantic.

Raised alongside her younger sister, musical actress Lee Sung-eun, Lee completed her higher education at Dongduk Women's University, graduating in February 2016. Her career began in the modeling industry after participating in a regional Super Model Contest in 2008. She made an early entry into music in 2013 by collaborating with the group The Papers on the single I Love You.

Lee made her screen debut in 2014 with a supporting role in the television series It's Okay, That's Love, becoming the first model-actress represented under the joint venture YG KPlus. In 2015, she appeared in the weekend drama Flower of Queen, earning the Best New Actress award in a Special Project Drama at the MBC Drama Awards. The following year, she featured in Cheese in the Trap, played a neurosurgeon in The Doctors, and released a duet cover single titled My Lips like Warm Coffee with Eddy Kim.

In late 2016, Lee took on her first lead role in the youth sports drama Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo, playing a character inspired by Olympic champion Jang Mi-ran. Her work expanded in 2017 to include voice dubbing for the animated feature Trolls, a supporting role in the film Love+Sling, and a feature on Psy's track Last Scene. She subsequently starred in the fantasy drama About Time in 2018 and the action comedy film Miss & Mrs. Cops in 2019.

In 2020, Lee joined the second season of the medical drama Dr. Romantic as cardiothoracic surgeon Cha Eun-jae, a role she later reprised in the show's third season in 2023. Her additional television projects included Shooting Stars in 2022 and Call It Love in 2023. Alongside her acting, she released the musical track Eat Sleep Live Repeat with Lee Chan-hyuk in late 2023, debuted on stage as Princess Jasmine in a 2024 Korean production of Aladdin, and served as a host for the talent show Starlight Boys.

After YG Entertainment dissolved its acting division, Lee joined Fantagio in June 2025. She subsequently starred as an aspiring singer in the romance series The Nice Guy and appeared in the 2026 drama In Your Radiant Season. Beyond her creative projects, Lee has participated in charitable giving, contributing funds toward flood relief efforts in 2022, senior care organization support in 2023, and Dankook University Hospital in 2024 following her work on Dr. Romantic 3.
