Camila Cabello

Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao is an American singer, songwriter, and actress who first rose to fame as a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony. After establishing a solo presence through collaborative singles, she launched a recording career characterized by Latin-influenced pop music. She has achieved multiple chart-topping singles and albums globally, establishing herself as a prominent pop artist.

Cabello was born on March 3, 1997, in Cojímar, Havana, Cuba, to a Cuban mother and a Mexican father. She spent her early childhood moving between Mexico and Cuba before relocating to Miami, Florida, with her mother when she was between six and seven years old. Her father joined them approximately 18 months later, and she acquired American citizenship in 2008. Cabello attended Miami Palmetto High School but left during ninth grade to pursue singing, later earning her high school diploma.

In 2012, Cabello auditioned for the television competition show The X Factor. Although eliminated during the bootcamp stage, she was brought back to join Ally Brooke, Normani, Lauren Jauregui, and Dinah Jane to form Fifth Harmony. The group finished in third place and signed a joint deal with Syco Music and Epic Records. Fifth Harmony released the EP Better Together alongside the albums Reflection and 7/27, generating hit singles such as Worth It and Work from Home. While in the group, Cabello released collaborative singles including I Know What You Did Last Summer with Shawn Mendes and Bad Things with Machine Gun Kelly. She officially departed Fifth Harmony in December 2016.

Cabello launched her solo career with several collaborative tracks before releasing her debut studio album, Camila, in 2018. The album topped the US Billboard 200 chart, driven by the global success of its lead single Havana featuring Young Thug, which became the best-selling digital single of 2018 according to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. Her follow-up single, Never Be the Same, reached the top ten in multiple countries. To support the record, she embarked on her first headlining solo tour, the Never Be the Same Tour, in 2018.

Her second studio album, Romance, was released in 2019 and peaked at number three on the Billboard 200, featuring the global chart-topping duet Señorita with Shawn Mendes. Cabello released her third studio album, Familia, in 2022, which reached number ten on the Billboard 200 and contained the hit single Bam Bam featuring Ed Sheeran. In 2024, she released her fourth studio album, C,XOXO, which peaked at number 13 on the Billboard 200. Beyond her music career, Cabello made her feature film debut starring as the title character in the 2021 adaptation of Cinderella. Her honors include two Latin Grammy Awards, five American Music Awards, and one Billboard Music Award.
