Joe Jonas

Joseph Adam Jonas is an American singer, songwriter, and actor. He initially gained prominence as a member of the pop rock band the Jonas Brothers alongside his brothers Kevin and Nick. He subsequently achieved further success as the lead vocalist of the funk-pop group DNCE, as a solo artist, and through various television and film projects.

Jonas was born on August 15, 1989, in Casa Grande, Arizona, to Denise, a sign language teacher and singer, and Paul Kevin Jonas, a songwriter, musician, and former ordained minister. Raised alongside his older brother Kevin and younger brothers Nick and Frankie, he attended Eastern Christian High School in New Jersey. In 2002, Jonas performed in Baz Luhrmann's Broadway production of La bohème.

In 2005, Jonas and his brothers formed the Jonas Brothers and signed with Columbia Records, releasing their debut album It's About Time in 2006. After moving to Hollywood Records, the group released their self-titled 2007 album, which became their breakthrough record. The band's prominence expanded through their 2008 album A Little Bit Longer, featuring the single "Burnin' Up", and their 2009 album Lines, Vines and Trying Times.

Jonas established a significant television and film presence on the Disney Channel. He starred in the musical films Camp Rock (2008)—recording the duet "This Is Me"—and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010). He also starred alongside his brothers in the series Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream and Jonas, as well as the 2009 concert film Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience.

Following a group hiatus, Jonas released his debut solo album, Fastlife, in 2011. After the Jonas Brothers officially disbanded in 2013 due to creative differences, Jonas formed the band DNCE in 2015. The group achieved major success with the single "Cake by the Ocean" before releasing their self-titled album. In 2018, Jonas served as a coach on the Australian version of The Voice and contributed voice acting to Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation.

The Jonas Brothers reunited in 2019, releasing the single "Sucker" and their 2023 release The Album. Expanding into film, Jonas appeared in the Korean War movie Devotion and co-wrote its end-credits song "Not Alone". He revived DNCE in 2022 and announced his second solo album, Music for People Who Believe in Love. His subsequent activities include performing with his brothers at JONASCON 2025, singing the national anthem at Wrestlemania 42 in 2026, and joining the thirty-first season of The Voice as a coach in 2027.
