Shin Ryu-jin

Shin Ryu-jin, known mononymously as Ryujin, is a South Korean singer, rapper, dancer, and actress. Born in April 2001, she is best known as a member of the South Korean girl group ITZY, formed by JYP Entertainment in 2019. Within the group, she serves as the center, main rapper, and lead dancer.

Before her official debut, Shin was scouted by JYP Entertainment at a concert and underwent several years of trainee training. During this period, she made appearances in various media projects, including a minor role in the 2017 South Korean feature film The King and an appearance in a musical highlight reel for the group BTS. She gained public prominence in 2017 as a contestant on the JTBC reality competition program Mix Nine, where she placed first among the female participants.

Shin officially debuted with ITZY in February 2019 with the single album It'z Different and its hit lead track Dalla Dalla. The group quickly achieved major commercial success, earning multiple newcomer awards. Since debuting, she has contributed to ITZY's extensive discography, which includes successful extended plays and full-length albums such as Crazy in Love, Checkmate, and Gold, while also participating in international tours and group activities.
