Bebe Rexha

Bleta "Bebe" Rexha is an American singer and songwriter born on August 30, 1989. She began her mainstream career in 2010 as the lead vocalist for the pop band Black Cards and co-wrote music for other artists, including the song "The Monster" by Eminem. Rexha has since built a solo career spanning pop, dance, R&B, and country, releasing multiple extended plays and studio albums while collaborating with numerous high-profile acts.

Rexha was born in Brooklyn, New York City, to Albanian parents with roots in North Macedonia, and raised in Staten Island. She taught herself to play the trumpet, guitar, and piano, and participated in choir and musical theater during high school, where she discovered she is a coloratura soprano. As a teenager, she earned the Best Teen Songwriter award at a National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences event, leading her to sign with a talent scout and enroll in Manhattan songwriting classes.

After leaving Black Cards in 2012, Rexha was awarded the Abe Olman Scholarship for her songwriting contributions. She signed a solo recording contract with Warner Bros. Records in 2013 and released her debut single, "I Can't Stop Drinking About You," in 2014. Her debut extended play, I Don't Wanna Grow Up, arrived in 2015. In 2017, she released two additional EPs: All Your Fault: Pt. 1 and All Your Fault: Pt. 2. The latter featured the collaboration "Meant to Be" with Florida Georgia Line, which spent fifty weeks at number one on the US Hot Country Songs chart and peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100.

Rexha released her debut studio album, Expectations, in June 2018; it reached number 13 on the Billboard 200 and featured the single "I'm a Mess." Her second studio album, Better Mistakes, followed in May 2021. In April 2023, she released her third album, Bebe, which included her collaboration with David Guetta, "I'm Good (Blue)." The single reached number four on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the charts in twenty-two countries. In 2026, Rexha departed Warner Records, signed with Empire Distribution, and released her fourth album, Dirty Blonde.

Over her career, Rexha has earned four Grammy Award nominations, an Academy of Country Music Award, an MTV Video Music Award, three Electronic Dance Music Awards, and two Billboard Music Awards. Aside from recording music, she hosted the 2016 MTV Europe Music Awards, served as a coach on The Voice's Comeback Stage, and headlined Pride in London in 2024. In her personal life, Rexha has stated that her sexuality is fluid, and she has publicly shared her diagnoses of bipolar disorder and polycystic ovary syndrome.
