Sarah Desjardins

Sarah Desjardins is a Canadian actress born on July 15, 1994. She is best known for her roles across a variety of television projects, including starring performances in the Hub miniseries Clue and the YouTube Premium science-fiction drama Impulse. She also gained wide recognition for her work in the Netflix thriller series The Night Agent and the Showtime series Yellowjackets, transitioning into a main starring role in the third season of Yellowjackets after recurring during its first two seasons.

Raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Desjardins grew up alongside a younger brother. She developed an interest in acting at an early age, expressing a desire to perform when she was six years old. Although her parents initially hired an agent for her, they chose to pause her acting pursuits due to the associated costs, travel demands, and line memorization required. They encouraged her to revisit the field when she got older, leading Desjardins to acquire headshots and secure an agent while in high school.

Desjardins made her professional screen debut in the 2011 television film Magic Beyond Words, portraying a younger version of J.K. Rowling's sister, Dianne. Following her debut, she guest-starred on television series such as Supernatural and Imaginary Mary. She also appeared in several made-for-television films, including the 2016 Pride and Prejudice adaptation Unleashing Mr. Darcy as Zara Darcy, as well as the 2017 Lifetime teenage vampire film Drink, Slay, Love.

In 2016, Desjardins began taking on recurring television roles. She appeared in the first season of the Syfy post-apocalyptic horror series Van Helsing as Catherine, a refugee who protects a young girl named Callie. That same year, she joined the Netflix spy series Project MC2 for its final four installments, playing Maddy McAlister, a top spy agent and the older sister of main character McKeyla.

Desjardins was cast in the YouTube Premium series Impulse in late 2016. Set in the universe of the film Jumper and based on Steven Gould's novel, the show premiered in June 2018. Desjardins initially auditioned for the lead character, Henry, but was cast as her step-sister, Jenna, a multifaceted popular student who becomes a close confidante. The show ran for two seasons before its cancellation in March 2020.

In 2019, Desjardins secured a recurring role in the fourth season of the CW series Riverdale, playing Donna Sweett, a Stonewall Prep student who opposes Jughead Jones. Beginning in 2021, she recurred in Yellowjackets as the teenage daughter of high school plane crash survivor Shauna. Additionally, in July 2023, it was announced that Desjardins joined the feature film cast of Tron: Ares alongside Jared Leto and Cameron Monaghan.
