Nadia Bjorlin

Nadia Bjorlin is an American actress, model, singer, and musician. She is widely known for her portrayal of Chloe Lane on the daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives, a role she first stepped into in April 1999. In addition to her extensive work on television, Bjorlin has performed as a vocalist and musician, appeared in feature films, and starred in digital web series and reality television programs.

Born on August 2, 1980, in Newport, Rhode Island, Bjorlin is the second eldest child of Swedish composer and conductor Ulf Björlin and Iranian interior designer Fary Björlin. During her infancy, her family relocated to her father's native country of Sweden. Growing up, her family moved back and forth between Sweden and the United States, living in cities such as Stockholm, Los Angeles, and Palm Beach, Florida, before moving to New York City. Multilingual from a young age, Bjorlin is fluent in English, Swedish, and Persian, and has also been schooled in French, Italian, and Russian.

Bjorlin received specialized training in the arts, attending the Interlochen Center for the Arts and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute, where she was honored for excellence in theatre, voice, music, and dance. She attended the Palm Beach County School of the Arts for two years, during which she sang with the Palm Beach Opera and won a gold medal as part of a choir at an international vocal competition in Verona, Italy, in 1996. She later attended the Professional Children's School in New York City. In May 1999, she won first place in the Metro Lyric Opera Competition in NYC. After graduating from high school, she shifted her focus from singing to acting.

In late 1999, Bjorlin appeared as a go-go dancer in the music video for Ricky Martin's song Shake Your Bon-Bon. Following her debut on Days of Our Lives, she departed the show in June 2003 to concentrate on her singing career before returning later that year. She left the series again in September 2005 to join the cast of the UPN series Sex, Love & Secrets. She subsequently made guest appearances on television programs such as Jake in Progress and Out of Practice, later returning to Days of Our Lives in November 2007 and making additional anniversary appearances in 2013.

Bjorlin expanded into feature films with roles in the 2007 independent movie If I Had Known I Was a Genius, which screened at the Sundance Film Festival, and the 2007 action film Redline, where she was cast as the female lead. Beginning in 2009, she starred as author Lara Miller in the web series Venice: The Series. Her subsequent television credits include guest roles on NCIS, Two and a Half Men, and 2 Broke Girls, as well as starring in the 2011 reality television series Dirty Soap.

Beyond her acting career, Bjorlin is a musician who plays the flute, harp, guitar, and piano. Following her father's death from leukemia in 1993, she became an active advocate for cancer research, forming her own team named Nadia's Cancer Crusaders and participating in fundraisers for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. She married Grant Turnbull in May 2015, and the couple has two sons.
