Laura-Leigh

Laura Leigh is an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in Upstate New York. Performing primarily within the folk, Americana, outlaw country, and roots rock genres, she is recognized for her narrative-driven lyricism and traditional acoustic music style. She performs both as a solo artist and as the lead vocalist and rhythm musician of the Laura Leigh Band, delivering music that combines traditional American roots influences with contemporary songwriting.

Leigh developed her career through live performances throughout New York's Hudson Valley, the Capital Region, and surrounding areas. Her career includes appearances at regional music venues, community gatherings, and media showcases such as radio sessions and digital video programs. Her compositions frequently center on character sketches and observational narratives, capturing themes of relationships, resilience, and regional life. On stage and in studio recordings, she is accompanied by a core band featuring drummer Chanda Dewey, bassist Chris Maccia, and lead guitarist David Lawlor.

In early 2026, Leigh issued the singles Loretta and Johnny to precede her studio release, Late Night Laura Leigh, which came out in April 2026. Produced by Victor Deyglio and Marty Horn, the five-track record highlighted her storytelling approach and featured songs such as Cowboy Trade and Mario. Leigh continues to write, record, and perform live throughout New York, remaining an active contributor to the regional independent music scene.
