Chakra established his brand in 1985 upon returning to Lebanon, where he opened his first store. Beginning in the mid-1990s, he expanded his presence in the fashion industry by showcasing his collections at Paris Fashion Week.
After working in the industry for 20 years, Chakra achieved a major career breakthrough in 2006. His designs were featured in the feature film The Devil Wears Prada, starring Meryl Streep.
