Georges Chakra

Georges Chakra is a Beirut-based Lebanese haute couture fashion designer. He is best known for founding his eponymous fashion brand and creating high-end designs featured in film, television, and on prominent international celebrities.

Chakra established his brand in 1985 upon returning to Lebanon, where he opened his first store. Beginning in the mid-1990s, he expanded his presence in the fashion industry by showcasing his collections at Paris Fashion Week.

After working in the industry for 20 years, Chakra achieved a major career breakthrough in 2006. His designs were featured in the feature film The Devil Wears Prada, starring Meryl Streep. This significant exposure helped propel his brand into a global haute couture fashion house with international recognition.

In addition to feature films, Chakra's creations have been prominently featured in television productions. His wardrobe designs appeared in the series Gossip Girl, where they were worn by series stars Blake Lively and Leighton Meester.

Over the course of his career, Chakra has built a notable client roster, dressing numerous high-profile figures for major public appearances. His celebrity clients include Rihanna, Beyoncé, Tyra Banks, Jennifer Lopez, Helen Mirren, Gwen Stefani, Goldie Hawn, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Rebecca Romijn, and Sophie Marceau.

Additional public figures and performers who have worn his designs include Dakota Fanning, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Juliette Lewis, Kristen Bell, Hilary Duff, Jane Fonda, Kelly Osbourne, Sheryl Crow, and Queen Latifah. He also dressed Hiba Tawaji for the Cannes Film Festival in 2017.
