Thitipoom Techaapaikhun

Thitipoom Techaapaikhun, commonly referred to by his nickname New, is a Thai actor and television presenter. He achieved widespread recognition for playing the character Kao in a series of television dramas, including Kiss: The Series, Kiss Me Again, and Dark Blue Kiss. He further expanded his profile by starring as Achi in Cherry Magic, a 2023 Thai adaptation of a Japanese manga.

Born in Bangkok, Thailand, Thitipoom relocated to Yala Province at three years old, attending Kanarasadornbumroong Yala School for his lower secondary education. He subsequently completed his secondary studies at Hat Yai Witthayalai School in Songkhla Province. Pursuing higher education in Bangkok, he earned an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University, later returning to the same institution to obtain a master's degree in business administration from its Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy.

His career in the entertainment industry began with modeling work before he joined Bang Channel's Five Live Fresh as a host in 2013. He transitioned into television acting in 2014, making his screen debut in the GMMTV production Room Alone 401–410. Shortly thereafter, he secured a supporting role as M in SOTUS and was cast alongside Tawan Vihokratana as Kao in Kiss: The Series and its follow-up, Kiss Me Again.

Thitipoom earned his first main role as Apo in the 2017 series Water Boyy, which adapted a film of the same name, and also returned to portray M in SOTUS S. By 2019, his role as Kao was elevated to a main lead position alongside Tawan in Dark Blue Kiss, the third entry in the Kiss series. Beyond television dramas, he starred in Classic Again, a Thai film remake of the 2003 South Korean feature The Classic, and worked on the project I Need Romance 3. In 2022, he portrayed the character Alex in the series The Warp Effect.

In 2023, he took on the lead role of Achi—a 30-year-old who develops mind-reading abilities—in the Thai version of Cherry Magic. Reunited with Tawan on screen, the project garnered significant fan engagement domestically and internationally, generating online trends and strong viewership ratings. Continuing his work in television, he starred as Home in the 2024 series Peaceful Property and made a guest appearance in Break Up Service as a new romantic interest for a character portrayed by Tawan.

In addition to his screen acting, Thitipoom engages in business ventures and financial trading. He trades stocks actively, operates a personal online apparel label named Newwave, and co-owns a spa venture called Bamboo Secrets in partnership with Tawan Vihokratana.
