Perawat Sangpotirat

Perawat Sangpotirat, who also goes by the nickname Krist and the Chinese name Wang Huizhen, is a Thai entertainer operating as an actor, singer, and television host signed with the GMMTV agency. Born on October 18, 1995, he achieved widespread international popularity following his breakout performance in the 2016 television series SOTUS. Beyond his early dramatic roles, he has established a diverse career spanning musical theater, television hosting, and music production.

Raised in Bangkok, Thailand, Perawat completed his secondary schooling at Satriwitthaya 2 School. He later attended Kasetsart University, earning an academic degree from its Faculty of Economics before pursuing a full-time career in the entertainment industry.

In 2016, Perawat made his screen acting debut playing the central character Arthit in the boys' love drama SOTUS. Performing alongside Prachaya Ruangroj, who played Kongphop, the show achieved massive international popularity and gave rise to a dedicated global fan community known as PERAYA. Building on this momentum, he starred as Mek in the 2017 webtoon adaptation Teenage Mom: The Series and took on a supporting role in Senior Secret Love: Puppy Honey 2.

Perawat returned to his famous role as Arthit in 2018 for the sequel SOTUS S. That June, he launched his musical career by releasing his first single, titled "Door, Air and a Good Day." The track was included in the soundtrack for the GMM25 series Mint To Be, in which he played the titular character Mint alongside Worranit Thawornwong. Simultaneously broadcast on the Chinese platform Tencent Video, the series garnered rapid viewership in China, aided by his large regional fanbase.

In March 2019, Perawat released his second single, "SKY," serving as a co-producer and penning the rap lyrics. His screen work continued with primary roles in Love Beyond Frontier in 2019 and Who Are You in 2020. In April 2021, he participated in GMMTV's nine-artist vocal initiative "Boys Don’t Cry," becoming the first member to debut a song with his track "Missing."

Perawat has also built a steady hosting career. In November 2020, he began co-hosting the music program The Golden Song: Season 3 on One 31 alongside Kluea, later returning for the show's fourth season in December 2021. In August 2021, he joined Pakachon Vo-onsri as a presenter for The Star Idol. He subsequently made his official stage debut in a musical production in September 2022.

In 2023, Perawat portrayed Kawi in the novel adaptation Be My Favorite alongside Gawin Caskey. He later re-teamed with Prachaya Ruangroj for the BL drama The Ex-Morning, taking on the chief role of Pathaphi Sinan. His upcoming screen slate also includes an appearance in Must-Read.
