Tawan Vihokratana

Tawan Vihokratana, known professionally by the nickname Tay, is a Bangkok-based Thai actor and television presenter. He has established a prominent career in Thai television entertainment, gaining wide popularity for his portrayal of Pete across the connected series Kiss: The Series, Kiss Me Again, and Dark Blue Kiss. He is also well recognized for portraying Karan in the 2023 Thai television adaptation of the Japanese comic Cherry Magic.

Born in Bangkok on July 20, 1991, Tawan completed his secondary education at Suankularb Wittayalai School with an emphasis on science and mathematics. He subsequently enrolled at Chulalongkorn University, where he initially pursued a bachelor's degree in chemistry before switching his major to economics, ultimately graduating from the institution. During his university years, he was selected as one of the mace-bearers representing his university at the 68th Chula–Thammasat Traditional Football Match in 2012 alongside fellow future performers Pat Chatborirak and Pakorn Thanasrivanitchai.

Tawan entered the entertainment industry in 2014 after joining the youth-focused music program Five Live Fresh on Bang Channel as one of six new co-hosts, working alongside presenters such as Thitipoom Techaapaikhun and Jumpol Adulkittiporn. Later that same year, he earned media recognition as one of Cleo Thailand's 50 Most Eligible Bachelors and made his television drama debut in a supporting role as Warm in Room Alone 401-410. He subsequently appeared in additional television projects, including Ugly Duckling: Don't in 2015 and U-Prince: The Foxy Pilot in 2016.

His career grew with his recurring role as Pete, starting with Kiss: The Series in 2016 and continuing with primary roles in Kiss Me Again in 2018 and Dark Blue Kiss in 2019. In 2017, Tawan landed a main role as Alan in Secret Seven: The Series, followed by his portrayal of Shin in the 2019 drama 3 Will Be Free. His subsequent television credits include starring as Teedo in I'm Tee, Me Too in 2020, making a guest appearance in The Gifted: Graduation, and playing Tin in the 2021 series The Player. GMMTV announced late in 2022 that Tawan and Thitipoom Techaapaikhun would headline the agency's 2023 adaptation of Cherry Magic.

Beyond scripted television dramas, Tawan has actively worked as a television and web presenter. He hosted the food-themed web broadcast TayNew Meal Date with Thitipoom Techaapaikhun and co-hosted the show Friend Club alongside Jumpol Adulkittiporn and Weerayut Chansook. He also hosted his own lifestyle talk program titled Krahai Lao. Outside the entertainment sector, Tawan operates a commercial spa enterprise called Bamboo Secrets, which he co-owns with his frequent screen partner Thitipoom Techaapaikhun.

In his personal life, Tawan was ordained as a monk at Wat Bowonniwet Vihara on June 29, 2017. He has also expressed political viewpoints publicly, voicing backing for the 2020–2021 Thai protests and condemning the use of force during the 2020 Pathumwan dispersal. Additionally, Tawan has voiced public critiques regarding national political conditions, public health management during the COVID-19 pandemic in Thailand, and political developments following the 2023 Thai general election.
