Archen Aydin

Archen Aydin, also recognized by his nickname Joong, is a Thai actor and vocalist signed under the media agency GMMTV. Born on March 10, 2001, he has gained prominence for his roles in several popular Thai television series, including 2 Moons 2, Star & Sky: Star in My Mind, Hidden Agenda, and The Heart Killers.

Born in Bangkok, Thailand, Archen relocated to Turkey with his mother and stepfather at eight years old, spending ten years there and learning to speak Turkish fluently. To support his family financially, he decided to leave his mother, stepfather, and three younger siblings behind to return to Thailand, completing high school earlier than his peers in 2018. Following his return, he earned first place in the Mister Teen Thailand competition. He originally enrolled at Stamford International University in Bangkok to study Creative Media Design before transferring in 2023 to Bangkok University's School of Communication Arts, where he changed his major to Broadcasting and Streaming Media Production.

Archen launched his professional acting career in 2019 after signing with Motive Village, making his television debut in 2 Moons 2. The project's popularity led to international fan events and appearances. In June 2020, he debuted as a member of the five-piece musical act OXQ with the single ME! before the group disbanded later that year. He then joined Insight Entertainment as a trainee. Although his scheduled participation in the talent competition Asian Super Young was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he contributed to the pre-release single I Like U Summer as part of the Insight Rookies before briefly working as an independent artist.

In September 2021, Archen signed with GMMTV. He was paired with co-star Natachai Boonprasert (Dunk) for the 2022 series Star & Sky: Star in My Mind, performing its soundtrack song My Starlight in both Thai and English. The show's success led to an additional special episode and launched his joint standing in the industry. Later that year, he performed in his first large-scale live event, the Feel Fan Fun Camping Concert, and recorded music for the drama My Dear Donovan.

Throughout 2023, Archen expanded his international reach with fan meetings across Southeast Asia, including his first Cambodian event in late 2022. He reunited with Dunk for a two-episode story arc in Our Skyy 2 and starred in his first full 12-episode leading role in Hidden Agenda. His live appearances included the two-day Love Out Loud Fan Fest 2023: LOVOLUTION concert and the GMMTV FANDAY event in Bangkok. In September 2023, he made his physical debut on the global fashion circuit by attending Saint Laurent's show during Women's Paris Fashion Week 2024 SS.

In 2024, Archen's career expanded into new television formats following GMMTV's annual announcements. He was selected as a new presenter for the long-running variety program School Rangers and joined the cast of the drama series Ploy's Yearbook.
