Savika Chaiyadej

Savika Chaiyadej, also known by her nickname Pinky, is a Thai actress and performer who has worked in television and film across Thailand and South India.

She was born in Bangkok on June 19, 1986. Raised in a Muslim household by her father, Chaiyadej possesses a diverse cultural background incorporating Chinese, English, Mon, Pakistani, and Thai lineage. She grew up alongside two older brothers, one of whom acted with her in her initial childhood project. Her higher education includes a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts from Rangsit University, followed by a master's degree from Chalermkarnchana University.

Chaiyadej began her path in the entertainment sector around the age of eight, making her screen debut in a Sony Trinitron commercial alongside an ape. Her career advanced significantly during her teenage years when she gained widespread popularity starring in the action-adventure television series Angkor 2. In this production, she performed opposite Veerapaph Suparbpaiboon, portraying a royal princess affected by a sorcerer's curse.

Expanding her career internationally, Chaiyadej entered the South Indian cinema market. She debuted in Tamil film with the 2011 release Markandeyan. She subsequently secured the main female role in the Telugu feature Emo Gurram Egaravachu, starring alongside Sumanth, which debuted in theaters on January 24, 2014.

On August 18, 2022, Chaiyadej, her mother Sarinya, and her older brother Surayuth were detained among a group of nineteen individuals in relation to a financial fraud case known as the Forex-3D scam. The scheme involved 9,824 victims and total damages amounting to 2.4 billion baht. Following a denial of bail by the Criminal Court, she and her mother were incarcerated at the Central Women's Penitentiary.
