Sakura Miyawaki

Sakura Miyawaki, often known mononymously as Sakura, is a Japanese singer, actress, and media personality based in South Korea. Born on March 19, 1998, in Kagoshima, Japan, she gained international recognition through her career in both the J-pop and K-pop industries. She is best known as a member of the South Korean girl group Le Sserafim, having previously debuted as a member of the Japanese idol group HKT48, its sister group AKB48, and the South Korean-Japanese project group Iz*One.

Miyawaki began her career in Japan after joining HKT48 in 2011. During her tenure within the 48 Group system, she emerged as one of its most prominent members, regularly ranking near the top of the annual general elections and concurrently holding positions in AKB48. She served as the center performer for major singles, including AKB48's "Kimi wa Melody" and "No Way Man," before shifting her focus toward international projects.

In 2018, Miyawaki participated in the South Korean reality competition show Produce 48, where she finished in second place. This led to her debut with the temporary project group Iz*One later that year. Following the conclusion of Iz*One's activities in 2021, she officially graduated from HKT48 to pursue full-time activities in South Korea. In March 2022, she signed with Source Music, a sub-label of Hybe, and debuted as part of Le Sserafim in May 2022.

Alongside her group ventures, Miyawaki has expanded her profile into television, web series, and fashion modeling. She has managed individual activities in Japan under A.M. Entertainment and has hosted her own web variety content. Through Le Sserafim, she continues to perform globally, contribute to multi-certified music releases, and participate in major international tours.
