Diane Neal

Diane Neal is an American-Israeli actress and former model born on November 17, 1976, in Alexandria, Virginia. She is best known for portraying Assistant District Attorney Casey Novak on the legal drama television series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She is also recognized for her recurring role as Coast Guard Investigative Service Special Agent Abigail Borin across the NCIS franchise.

Raised in Littleton, Colorado, Neal pursued figure skating before beginning a global modeling career at age 16. Working with major agencies, she appeared in international print campaigns and television commercials for skin-care and cosmetics brands such as Shiseido and Pond's. She later moved to New York City to study acting at the Atlantic Theater Company, eventually securing roles in theater productions and television pilots.

Neal made guest appearances on television before joining the main cast of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2003, serving as a series regular until 2008 and returning for guest roles in later seasons. Her television resume includes recurring and guest roles on series such as Suits, The Following, Power, NCIS, and NCIS: New Orleans, as well as television movies like My Fake Fiancée and Circle of Deception. Alongside her acting career, she resumed her education, graduating with an associate degree from the Harvard University Extension School in 2018.

In 2018, Neal campaigned as an independent candidate for New York's 19th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives. She later relocated to Israel and acquired Israeli citizenship in 2023. Neal has since engaged in advocacy work, podcast hosting, and public speaking engagements.
