Danny Bonaduce

Dante Daniel Bonaduce, born August 13, 1959, is an American retired radio personality, actor, television personality, and professional wrestler. He became famous as a child actor in the 1970s television sitcom The Partridge Family, starring as Danny Partridge, the wisecracking middle son and bass guitar player of the fictional family pop group. The son of television writer and producer Joseph Bonaduce and his wife Betty, Bonaduce grew up in a dysfunctional family before his parents divorced in 1972.

Bonaduce began his acting career in the late 1960s with small roles on shows such as Bewitched and The Ghost & Mrs. Muir. His breakthrough came in 1970 when he was cast in The Partridge Family, which ran for four seasons through 1974. He later voiced his character in the 1974 animated series Partridge Family 2200 A.D. and received a Former Child Star Lifetime Achievement Award from the Young Artist Foundation in 2003. Following the series, he appeared in films like Corvette Summer (1978) alongside Mark Hamill and made guest appearances on television series such as CHiPs.

Throughout his adult acting and television career, Bonaduce appeared in programs including Married... with Children, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, The Drew Carey Show, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Monk, and Girlfriends. He hosted the 1990s syndicated talk show Danny!, co-hosted the daytime talk show The Other Half, and worked as a Hollywood correspondent for Australia's Today show. He later starred in the 2005 VH1 reality series Breaking Bonaduce, hosted the game show Starface, and served as a commentator on TruTV's World's Dumbest... from 2008 to 2013.

In addition to acting, Bonaduce developed a career as an on-air radio personality starting in the late 1980s, hosting shows in cities including Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit, New York, and Los Angeles. In music, his 1973 self-titled debut album produced the minor hit single Dreamland. His longest recent radio role was hosting a morning talk and music show on Seattle's KZOK-FM from 2011 until his retirement from radio in December 2023.

Bonaduce also participated in exhibition boxing and professional wrestling. He won charity boxing matches against Donny Osmond, Barry Williams, and Bob Levy, and fought to a majority draw against former baseball player José Canseco. He made his professional wrestling debut in 1994 against Christopher Knight and later wrestled for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. Holding a black belt in Tang Soo Do, he was cleared of battery charges following a publicized 2007 onstage altercation with reality TV personality Jonny Fairplay, which prosecutors determined was self-defense.

Bonaduce was married to Setsuko Hattori from 1985 to 1988, and to Gretchen Hillmer from 1990 to 2007, with whom he shares two children. He married Amy Railsback in 2010. After undergoing hydrocephalus-related surgery in 2023, Bonaduce announced his retirement from Seattle radio in December 2023 with plans to relocate to Palm Springs, California.
