Deverakonda completed his tenth-grade education at Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School in Puttaparthi, followed by his intermediate studies at Little Flower Junior College. Deverakonda began his career with a debut in Nuvvila (2011) and a minor appearance in Life is Beautiful (2012). His role in Yevade Subramanyam (2015) led to his first lead role in the successful romantic comedy Pelli Choopulu (2016). After starring in Dwaraka (2017), he gained significant attention for his role in Arjun Reddy (2017), a performance later ranked among the top acting performances of the decade by Film Companion. In 2018, he appeared in Ye Mantram Vesave, the biographical film Mahanati, the high-grossing romantic comedy Geetha Govindam, the political thriller NOTA, and the supernatural comedy Taxiwaala.
Following his peak early successes, Deverakonda experienced a period of mixed commercial results. He starred in Dear Comrade in 2019 and World Famous Lover in 2020. He subsequently appeared in the Hindi–Telugu bilingual film Liger in 2022, followed by Kushi in 2023. His later projects include the lead in The Family Star (2024), a cameo as Arjuna in Kalki 2898 AD (2024), and a starring role in Kingdom (2025). His scheduled releases for 2026 include Ranabaali and Rowdy Janardhana.
In 2019, Deverakonda expanded into film production by founding King of the Hill Entertainment, which produced Meeku Maathrame Cheptha and Pushpaka Vimanam. Beyond cinema, he launched his fashion brand Rowdy Wear in 2018, co-owns the volleyball franchise Hyderabad Black Hawks, opened a multiplex theater in Mahbubnagar in 2021, and has served as a commercial endorser for brands like Zomato.
Deverakonda established The Deverakonda Foundation in 2019, supporting various relief efforts, athletes, and providing essential supplies to thousands of families during the COVID-19 pandemic.
