Lee Chae-yeon

Lee Chae-yeon is a South Korean singer, dancer, and actress. Born on January 11, 2000, she is best known as a former member of the South Korean-Japanese girl group Iz*One and for her subsequent career as a solo artist.

Lee was born in Yongin, South Korea, and is the older sister of Chaeryeong, a member of the girl group Itzy. In 2013, Lee and her sister appeared as contestants on the third season of K-pop Star. Their dancing skills received praise, leading to them becoming trainees at JYP Entertainment. In 2015, Lee participated in Mnet's reality girl group survival show Sixteen, which determined the lineup for Twice. After being eliminated in the third episode, she departed from JYP Entertainment and later joined WM Entertainment.

In June 2018, Lee represented WM Entertainment on the survival reality show Produce 48. She was selected as one of the twelve final members of the newly formed South Korean-Japanese girl group Iz*One. The group officially debuted on October 29, 2018, with the release of their first EP, Color*Iz, and its lead single "La Vie en Rose". During their group career, Iz*One won New Artist of the Year awards at several ceremonies, including the Golden Disc Awards and the Seoul Music Awards. The group officially disbanded on April 29, 2021, following the expiration of their contract.

Following the disbandment, Lee engaged in various television and media projects. In July 2021, WM Entertainment announced her participation as a dance crew member on the reality TV show Street Woman Fighter. In September 2021, she co-hosted the web series Adola Travel Agency: Cheat-ing Trip alongside former Iz*One members Jo Yu-ri and Kang Hye-won. Later that December, she appeared in a promotional video produced by the Busan Tourism Organization alongside Kang Chan-hee.

Lee officially made her solo debut on October 12, 2022, releasing her first EP, Hush Rush, along with the music video for its title track. On November 18, Lee and singer Ha Sung-woon officially released the duet "Talk To Me", a song they originally performed at the 2024 K-World Dream Awards. She released her second EP, Over the Moon, on April 23, 2023, featuring the lead single "Knock", which peaked at number 26 on the Circle Digital Chart. She followed with her first single album, The Move: Street, and its lead track "Let's Dance" in September 2023. Her third EP, Showdown, led by the single "Don't", was released on July 3, 2024.

On April 18, 2025, Lee made her television drama debut by starring in Let's Dance. Her contract with WM Entertainment was terminated by mutual agreement on September 12, 2025, and she subsequently joined DOD Entertainment in December 2025. In April 2026, Lee released her fourth mini-album, Till I Die, marking her first project under the DayOneDream label. The five-track EP features the lead single "No Tears On The Dancefloor", along with the tracks "Know About Me", "I'm Waiting", "BAD", and "How Are You".

In September 2026, Lee announced her official debut in Japan under DayOneDream Japan's label D1 RECORDS. Her first Japanese single, ボクノコエ (Bokuno Koe; My Voice), was released on October 8, 2026. The release features the title track "Bokuno Koe" alongside a Japanese version of "No Tears on the Dancefloor".
