Kento Nakajima

Kento Nakajima is a Japanese singer, actor, voice actor, and television personality affiliated with Starto Entertainment. Born on March 13, 1994, he gained widespread recognition as a member of the Japanese idol groups Sexy Zone and Yuma Nakayama w/B.I.Shadow. Throughout his career, Nakajima has expanded his work across musical performances, television dramas, and international projects.

Nakajima first developed an interest in the entertainment industry in sixth grade after listening to a song by the Johnny & Associates temporary unit Shūji to Akira. At age fourteen, he submitted an application to the agency and officially joined in April 2008. Later that year, he became part of the Johnny's Jr. group B.I.Shadow alongside Fuma Kikuchi and Misaki Takahata, with the trio appearing in the television drama Scrap Teacher. In 2011, seventeen-year-old Nakajima was selected as a member of the five-person idol group Sexy Zone. The group officially debuted in November 2011 with an eponymous single, setting a record as the youngest group to debut since the inception of the Oricon Singles Rankings in January 1968. During his time with the group, he created the term "Sexy Lovers" to refer to their fanbase.

After years of performing with Sexy Zone, Nakajima departed from the group on March 31, 2024, remaining with his agency to pursue varied opportunities as a solo idol and actor domestically and internationally. He subsequently launched collaborative and solo musical ventures. In 2024, he joined musician Tatsuya Kitani to form the unit GEMN, releasing the single "Fatal," which served as an opening theme for the second season of the anime series Oshi no Ko. He also participated in the Hitogoto Project with the track "Hitogoto feat. Kento Nakajima," the theme song for a TV Tokyo drama in which he starred. Later musical collaborations included a November 2025 announcement of the song "Gold Unbalance" alongside Mori Calliope of Hololive.

Nakajima made his official solo debut on December 25, 2024, with the album release N/bias. He supported the release with his initial solo concert series, titled KENTO NAKAJIMA 1st Live 2025 N/bias, held at Tokyo's Ariake Arena in January 2025. In January 2026, he was selected to sing "Kesshō," the official cheer song for the Japanese team at the 2026 Winter Olympics, performing the track live at the TEAM JAPAN farewell party held at Lala Arena Tokyo Bay in Chiba.

In addition to his musical endeavors, Nakajima has built a career in acting and broadcasting. He achieved his overseas acting debut in the Hulu and SkyShowtime drama series Concordia, which began airing in May 2024. He also served as a special navigator for the network WOWOW during its coverage of the Academy Awards, studying English for the role. His media presence expanded in October 2024 with the launch of official YouTube and TikTok accounts, and in January 2026, he was named a brand ambassador for Bulgari Japan.

An only child raised by a Filipino mother, Nakajima earned a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Meiji Gakuin University. Affectionately nicknamed "Kenty," he frequently plays the piano during concert performances, maintains a daily blog titled KenTeaTime to update fans, owns a toy poodle named Bonita, and is a fan of the manga series Kimetsu no Yaiba.
