Jacinda Barrett

Jacinda Barrett Macht, born on August 2, 1972, is an Australian-American actress and former model. She first gained public recognition as a cast member on the reality television series The Real World: London in 1995. She later transitioned into a career in film and television acting.

Barrett was born in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, where she attended Kenmore State High School. As a high school student in 1988, she won Australia's annual Dolly Covergirl contest. By the age of 17, she began working as a model throughout Europe. In 1997, she pursued acting studies by attending a Midsummer program at the British American Drama Academy in Oxford, England.

Her early television career included an appearance in the September 1998 issue of Maxim to promote her role in the NBC primetime soap opera Wind on Water. Over the following decade, Barrett landed roles in numerous feature films. Her prominent movie credits include The Human Stain (2003), Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (2004), Ladder 49 (2004), The Namesake (2006), Poseidon (2006), and The Last Kiss (2006).

In addition to her film work, Barrett continued to appear on television. She had a role in the series The Following in 2013 and joined the main cast of the Netflix series Bloodline, which launched in 2015. She has also collaborated professionally with her husband, actor Gabriel Macht. The two appeared together in the 2009 film Middle Men, and Barrett had a recurring role from 2012 to 2013 in the second season of the television drama Suits, playing the love interest of her husband's character.

In her personal life, Barrett was previously engaged to TV host and comedian Chris Hardwick. She married Gabriel Macht in 2004. The couple has two children: a daughter born in Los Angeles in August 2007, and a son born in February 2014. Barrett became a naturalized United States citizen on August 28, 2009, at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Outside of her professional career, she enjoys skydiving.
