Haewon

Oh Hae-won, known mononymously as Haewon, is a South Korean singer, leader, and main vocalist of the girl group Nmixx under JYP Entertainment. Beyond her musical work within the group, she is widely recognized for her numerous television and variety show appearances.

Haewon was born on February 25, 2003, in Incheon, South Korea. During elementary school, her English teacher showed a video of Imagine Dragons performing "Demons," which left a strong emotional impact on her despite her limited English at the time. In March 2022, she graduated from Dunchon High School alongside her group bandmate Lily.

Haewon became a trainee at JYP Entertainment after passing a girl group open audition in 2017. During her trainee period, she earned a reputation as an ace by placing first in monthly evaluations, which led to a reward trip to a JYP training camp located in the United States. She was formally introduced as the sixth member of JYPn, the pre-debut name of Nmixx, on November 4, 2021, through a video cover of Stephanie Poetri's track "I Love You 3000."

She officially debuted as a member of Nmixx on February 22, 2022, with the single album Ad Mare and its lead track "O.O." Following the release of Nmixx's fourth EP Fe3O4: Forward, she featured in her first solo magazine profile in Marie Claire Korea's June 2025 issue, where she discussed songwriting and leadership. In October 2025, she featured in a solo profile for Dazed Korea in collaboration with the brand &Other Stories, discussing vintage aesthetics, older Korean music, and her leadership style.

Haewon has built an extensive portfolio in television hosting. She joined Music Universe K-909 as a K-pop assistant in September 2022 and became a co-host for Dilemma Game in December 2023, returning for its second season in July 2024. In March 2024, she was named host of Workdol season 2. Through a Workdol episode, she appeared as a weather presenter for JTBC Newsroom in August 2024. That same year, she served as a host for the Idol Star Athletics Championships and sang "Maru is a Puppy" for a webtoon soundtrack.

Her work on Workdol earned significant praise from media critics, who highlighted her quick wit, comedic timing, and professional composure alongside veteran entertainers. For hosting Workdol, Haewon earned nominations for Best Female Variety Performer and the Popularity Award at the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards in 2025. In December 2025, she fronted a digital cover and interview for Esquire Korea in partnership with Kakao Pay for the financial literacy mini-book Today's Finance.

In corporate endorsements, Haewon became an advertising model for the online job matching platform Daangn Alba in July 2024 and was named brand ambassador for the hangover relief brand Condition in November 2024. For philanthropy, she and the Workdol production team donated 10 million won to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation in July 2024.
