Gong Jun

Gong Jun, also known as Simon Gong, is a Chinese actor born on November 29, 1992, in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. He first achieved public attention through his roles in television productions such as Lost Love in Times and Begin Again. He subsequently attained widespread fame and mainstream success with his breakthrough portrayal of Wen Ke Xing in the 2021 wuxia drama Word of Honor.

After graduating from the Performance Department at Donghua University in Shanghai, Gong moved to Beijing to pursue opportunities in entertainment. His initial contract with a management company was terminated after it failed to deliver promised assignments and living allowances. Before making his official acting debut, he worked as a model for numerous advertising campaigns.

Gong made his acting debut in the 2015 historical drama Sword Chaos. In 2016, he appeared in the comedy film Lost in Japan and co-starred in the youth series Advance Bravely, taking a role for which he was personally selected by the original novel's author. In 2017, he starred in the fantasy drama The Player, featured in the science fiction movie Rebirth Partner, joined the reality show The Cute Teacher Arrives, and filmed the campus drama Shining Like You. He gained broader recognition that year playing the 11th Prince Yuan Che in Lost Love in Times, later starring in its spin-off series. He subsequently led the costume drama Unique Lady in 2018.

In 2019, Gong dubbed the voice of Apollo in the Chinese release of the animated film Tall Tales from the Magical Garden of Antoon Krings and starred in the romance drama Flavor It's Yours. In 2020, he played a forensic science student in The Love Equations and starred in the romantic drama Begin Again, which generated 1.8 billion views on Mango TV. Late that year, he returned for Unique Lady 2.

Gong achieved a major career breakthrough in 2021 with Word of Honor, which became a popular hit. He expanded his screen presence that year by starring in Dream Garden and The Flaming Heart, alongside the broadcast of his previously filmed dramas. From 2022 to 2024, Gong headlined high-profile series including The Legend of Anle, Rising With the Wind, and Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red-Moon Pact, while filming realism-focused dramas such as The Truth and Hold a Court Now. He also appeared in televised galas, joined reality shows including Chinese Restaurant 5 and Go Fighting!, and released multiple inspirational singles.

Gong's career continued to grow in 2025 through prominent roles in variety shows like Wow the World and Divas Hit the Road: United Season, along with starring in the successful wuxia drama Blood River and filming Blade of Vengeance. His industry recognition includes winning Popular Actor awards at the Golden Bud Network Film and Television Festival and Weibo Night. He became the first actor featured in the E-Fashion Zone at Madame Tussauds Shanghai, and later joined Madame Tussauds Hong Kong. Alongside his screen career, Gong has served as an ambassador for over thirty luxury, fashion, automotive, and consumer brands, and has participated in charitable initiatives, including donating proceeds from his photobook 1129 and funding rural school kitchen facilities in Sichuan Province.
