Cynthia Kirchner

Cynthia Kirchner is an American actress and fashion model. She is best known for her role as Bardot in the film Hot Bot, her Guess campaign photographed by Ellen Von Unwerth, her advertisements for L'Oreal, and her lingerie modeling for brands including Victoria's Secret, Frederick's of Hollywood, La Senza, Warner's, Vassarette, and Christian Lacroix.

Kirchner graduated with honors from Hazleton Area High School, earning an award from the Presidential Scholars Program and an academic scholarship to Chestnut Hill College. In 2000, she moved to Los Angeles, California, before relocating to New York in 2002 to pursue modeling and continue her studies at New York University and the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre. She graduated from the Hollywood Film Institute on September 29, 2013, focusing on writing, producing, and directing. Kirchner completed doctoral studies at Columbia University in 2016, received an MBA from the John E. Simon School of Business in late 2021, completed a Sustainability program at Stanford University in 2024, and earned a thermodynamics certification from Harvard University in 2025.

Her modeling career launched in 2002 when she was discovered by Kenya Knight at Nous Model Management in Los Angeles. In her first week, she booked Guess? and worked with Bruce Weber for Abercrombie and Fitch. She then worked in Milan, Italy, where she appeared on FashionTV's Model Flat, was scouted by Kwok Chan, and signed with Marilyn Agency in New York and Paris. Kirchner has been featured in pictorials for Elle, Italian Vogue, and Glamour, appeared on the cover of Cosmopolitan, and acted in music videos for Enrique Iglesias and Justin Timberlake. She is also known for her work with Intimissimi.

In 2003, Kirchner landed a lead role in the independent film Blue Tuesday. She undertook formal acting training with Sheila Grey, studied the Meisner technique at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre under Richard Pinter and Gary King, and later trained at the Penny Templeton Studio and the Larry Moss Studio. She made her television debut playing the recurring role of Grace on the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful, and she appeared in films such as 100% Perfect Girl and Ghosts of Girlfriends Past.

Kirchner subsequently starred as Kopen in Abstraction, featured in Mr. Popper's Penguins, and played lead roles in Seventh Tear and Sex, Lies and Alibis. She starred as Bardot in the Polish brothers film Hot Bot, appeared in Entourage, and performed in a limited engagement of the play Danny and the Deep Blue Sea alongside working on Shakespeare pieces at Theatricum Botanicum.

In January 2015, Kirchner founded Supermodel University and the Hollywood Academy of the Arts, and she associate produced the film Things Happen later that year. In 2020, she produced, directed, and hosted the television series Comedy Parlour Live: Quarantine Edition, presented by Damon Dash and streaming on Fox Soul. That same year, she co-created Nin Nin Do with Billy Blanks. Her commercial work includes advertisements for Pantene and L'Oreal.
