Justin Timberlake

Justin Randall Timberlake is an American singer, songwriter, actor, record producer, and dancer. Known as the "Prince of Pop," he is recognized as one of the best-selling music artists of all time and was named by Billboard as one of the Greatest Pop Stars of the 21st Century. Over the course of his career, he has earned ten Grammy Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards, three Brit Awards, nine Billboard Music Awards, the Songwriters Hall of Fame Contemporary Icon Award, and MTV's Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

Born on January 31, 1981, in Memphis, Tennessee, Timberlake was raised in a family that included several musicians. At age 11, he performed country and gospel music on the television show Star Search under the name "Justin Randall." From 1993 to 1995, he served as a cast member on Disney Channel's The All New Mickey Mouse Club, performing cover songs, skits, and choreography alongside future performers such as JC Chasez, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera.

In 1995, Timberlake and Chasez joined the pop boy band NSYNC as lead vocalists. The group released four albums and sold over 70 million records worldwide, becoming one of the best-selling boy bands in history. Their 2000 release, No Strings Attached, set a long-standing first-week sales record. Following the conclusion of their Celebrity Tour in 2002, the band entered an indefinite hiatus, prompting Timberlake to focus on solo projects.

Timberlake launched his solo recording career with Justified (2002) and FutureSex/LoveSounds (2006), both of which sold over 10 million copies globally and received triple platinum certifications from the RIAA. FutureSex/LoveSounds marked his first of four consecutive studio albums to debut atop the US Billboard 200, followed by The 20/20 Experience (2013), The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2 (2013), and Man of the Woods (2018). His 2024 album, Everything I Thought It Was, reached the top five. He has achieved multiple high-charting singles, including "SexyBack", "Cry Me a River", "Mirrors", and the Academy Award-nominated "Can't Stop the Feeling!".

Alongside his music career, Timberlake has worked extensively as an actor. He has taken on live-action starring roles in films such as Edison Force, Alpha Dog, The Social Network, Bad Teacher, Friends with Benefits, In Time, and Palmer. He has also performed voice acting roles, portraying Artie in Shrek the Third, Boo-Boo Bear in Yogi Bear, and Branch in the Trolls film franchise.
