Christian Tramitz

Christian Tramitz is a German actor and comedian born on July 13, 1955, in Munich, Bavaria. He is the son of film producer Rudolf Tramitz and Monica Tramitz (née Hörbiger). Coming from a family associated with performing arts, he is the grandson of Austrian actor Paul Hörbiger, a first cousin once removed of actress Christiane Hörbiger, and a cousin of actress Mavie Hörbiger.

Rather than immediately entering the acting profession, Tramitz pursued higher education in art history, philosophy, and drama. Alongside his academic studies, he took acting lessons from Ruth von Zerboni and studied the violin at the Munich Musikkonservatorium.

Tramitz began gaining media experience working at the Munich radio station Radio Gong, co-hosting the show Die Bayern Cops alongside Michael "Bully" Herbig. In December 1996, he appeared in the German television program Isar 3, which was based on the radio show. Starting in 1997, he achieved broader television prominence as a cast member of the comedy series Bullyparade, performing alongside Herbig and Rick Kavanian.

Following the conclusion of Bullyparade in 2002, Tramitz launched his own sketch comedy series, Tramitz and Friends, which debuted on ProSieben in 2004. On this show, he performed in comedic sketches alongside various notable actors, such as Annett Fleischer and Helmfried von Lüttichau.

In addition to live-action performances, Tramitz established an extensive career in voice dubbing beginning in the 1980s. He provided German voice dubs for numerous foreign actors and animated roles, including Matt Dillon in films such as Wild Things and One Night at McCool's, Alec Baldwin's character Captain Gray Edwards in Final Fantasy, and Jackie Chan in Half a Loaf of Kung Fu and Police Story 3. His other dubbing roles include John Cusack in Class, John Ritter in Noises Off, Ben Stiller in If Lucy Fell, and David Schwimmer in Six Days, Seven Nights.

His television dubbing work includes voicing Jefferson D'Arcy (played by Ted McGinley) in Married... with Children, Neal Tanner (Jim J. Bullock) in ALF, Jake Cardigan (Greg Evigan) in TekWar, Stiletto Mafioso in Danger Mouse, and Ted Mosby in How I Met Your Mother. His animated film credits feature dubbing Asterix in Asterix and the Vikings, Chick Hicks in Cars, and Scrad/Charlie (Johnny Knoxville) in Men in Black II.

In his personal life, Tramitz has twins from his first marriage to German publicist Christiane Tramitz. In 2004, he married his second wife, Annette, with whom he has a son and a daughter. He resides in Münsing at Lake Starnberg.
