Rebecca Mir

Rebecca-Zarah Mir is a German television presenter and model. She gained widespread public recognition after competing in the sixth season of the reality television series Germany's Next Topmodel, where she finished as the runner-up in June 2011.

Born on December 23, 1991, Mir grew up in Germany as the daughter of an Afghan father and a German mother. She attended St. Michael High School in Monschau and lived in Monschau-Imgenbroich near Aachen alongside her family, which includes an older brother and a younger sister.

After an unsuccessful attempt to join Germany's Next Topmodel in 2009, Mir completed a half-year modeling course before reapplying for the sixth season. Her performance led to a second-place finish in the finale, after which she signed a contract with the agency ONEeins Management. Following her breakthrough, she walked for notable designers and brands at events such as Berlin Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week, including presentations for Christian Siriano, Lena Hoschek, Minx, Miranda Konstantinidou, and Anja Gockel. She also appeared on the covers of publications like Cosmopolitan, GQ, and FHM, the latter of which voted her the world's sexiest woman in a 2012 reader poll.

In addition to modeling, Mir developed a career as a broadcast host and media personality. She began co-hosting the magazine program taff on ProSieben in 2012 and reported live from the Academy Awards for the network. Her presenting credits also include backstage and special coverage for Germany's Next Topmodel, the reality series Die Alm, the Vienna Awards for Fashion and Lifestyle, TV total Turmspringen, and the Wok World Championship. In 2012, she made her acting debut playing medical student Anna Fischer on the ARD series In aller Freundschaft, a role she held into 2013.

Mir has also appeared on competitive entertainment shows, finishing second in the fifth season of Let's Dance. In her personal life, she married her former dance partner Massimo Sinató in 2015.
