Ariadna Gutierrez

Ariadna María Gutiérrez Arévalo is a Colombian model, actress, and beauty pageant titleholder. She is best known for being crowned Miss Colombia 2014 and representing her country at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant, where she placed as first runner-up. She has also worked in international film and television projects.

Gutiérrez was born on 25 December 1993 in Sincelejo, Sucre, Colombia. When she was seven months old, her parents relocated to Barranquilla, where she was raised. She attended the German School of Barranquilla during her youth. Within her family, she is the cousin of Paulina Vega, who won Miss Colombia 2013 and Miss Universe 2014.

Her beauty pageant career gained prominent recognition in 2014 when she was awarded the title of Miss Sucre 2014. She subsequently represented the Sucre Department at the 80th edition of the Miss Colombia pageant held on 17 November 2014 in Cartagena de Indias. By winning the crown of Miss Colombia 2014, she secured the Sucre Department's very first victory in the history of the national competition. She officially crowned her successor, Andrea Tovar, on 16 November 2015.

On 20 December 2015, Gutiérrez represented Colombia at the 64th Miss Universe competition. During the live event, host Steve Harvey mistakenly announced her as the winner. After her crowning, Harvey realized he had misread the results card and clarified that she was actually the first runner-up, with Pia Wurtzbach of the Philippines being the actual winner. Gutiérrez later described the event as a great injustice and humiliating, criticizing the production team's handling of the error.

Following her pageantry career, Gutiérrez transitioned into acting and reality television while continuing her work as a professional model. In 2017, she made her feature film appearance in the action movie XXX: Return of Xander Cage alongside American actor Vin Diesel.

She later participated in the inaugural American season of the reality television competition Celebrity Big Brother. On the show's finale night, she was evicted from the house, finishing the competition in a tie for third and fourth place alongside Mark McGrath. Today, she continues her professional career as a model.
