Carolina Cruz

Carolina Cruz Osorio is a Colombian journalist, television host, model, businesswoman, and beauty pageant titleholder. Born on June 12, 1979, she is widely recognized for her extensive work in Colombian broadcasting and her participation in international beauty pageants.

Cruz spent her childhood and adolescence in Cali. During her youth, her first job was working as a cheerleader for the América de Cali soccer team, a club she also supported as a fan.

In 1999, Cruz represented Valle del Cauca in the Miss Colombia pageant. She placed second in the competition, earning the title of Miss Colombia International, or Viceroy National, behind winner Catalina Acosta. Following her national placement, she went on to represent Colombia at the Miss International 2000 pageant, where she achieved a Top 15 finish.

After her pageant appearances, Cruz expanded her career into modeling and television reporting, initially working on El Noticiero del Espectáculo for the Jorge Barón Television programming company. In 2000, she joined Canal RCN, co-hosting the show Comandos alongside Iván Lalinde and anchoring the entertainment segment of Noticias RCN with Andrea Serna. She later joined the morning show Muy buenos días alongside Jota Mario Valencia and Yaneth Waldman. During this period, she participated in and won the reality television competition Dancing for a dream, after which she departed from presenting the magazine show. In 2007, she hosted the third season of the reality series Extreme Change.

Cruz subsequently founded her own commercial ventures, Carolina Cruz Empresa Unipersonal and Carolina Cruz Jewelry and Accessories, hiring women from the Vida Nueva Foundation. In 2012, she partnered with the global catalog sales company Oriflame to distribute her brand internationally.

Throughout her broadcasting career, Cruz has presented numerous television programs, including Planeta Gente on NTN24, as well as Justo a tiempo and Cita a ciegas on RCN Televisión. After thirteen years with RCN, she resigned and joined Canal Caracol, where she presented coverage for Miss Universe and Colombia's Next Top Model. In August 2018, she joined Caracol Televisión's morning show Día a día as a presenter.
