Valerie Bertinelli

Valerie Anne Bertinelli is an American actress and television host known for her work in television comedy and culinary broadcasting. Born in Wilmington, Delaware, in 1960, she began her acting career as a child. She gained national prominence playing Barbara Cooper Royer on the television sitcom One Day at a Time from 1975 to 1984, a role that earned her two Golden Globe Awards for Best Supporting Actress.

Following her early success, Bertinelli continued to build a prominent television career. She starred in the comedy series Sydney in 1990 and later joined the main cast of the drama Touched by an Angel. From 2010 to 2015, she co-starred alongside TV legend Betty White and an ensemble cast in the hit sitcom Hot in Cleveland, which received multiple award nominations throughout its five-year run. In 2012, Bertinelli was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Transitioning into culinary entertainment, Bertinelli became a prominent food host. She hosted the cooking series Valerie's Home Cooking starting in 2015, for which she won two Daytime Emmy Awards. She also co-hosted and judged the popular series Kids Baking Championship. In addition to her television work, she has authored several cookbooks and memoirs reflecting on her life, food traditions, and personal journey.
