Sinjai Plengpanich

Sinjai Plengpanich, born Sinjai Hongtai on January 21, 1965, is a Thai performer who initially entered the entertainment industry through modeling. She later established herself as a prominent actress across television, film, and theater. Over her career, she has accumulated an extensive body of work, particularly in Thai soap operas known as lakorns, as well as in major screen and stage projects.

After starting in the modeling sector, Plengpanich transitioned into full-time acting, building a diverse portfolio across multiple dramatic mediums. Her screen career includes a notable role in the 2007 film The Love of Siam, a feature that earned critical acclaim. Alongside her screen roles, she has maintained a presence in live theater, including her participation in a revived staging of the stage production Banlangmek: The Musical.

Throughout her time in the industry, Plengpanich has portrayed varied characters in high-profile productions. Among her television credits is the 2013 remake of the drama Khu Kam, in which she played the historical figure Thanphuying La-iat Phibunsongkhram, the spouse of the former Thai Prime Minister and military leader Field Marshal Plaek Phibunsongkhram.

In her personal life, she is married to fellow actor Chatchai Plengpanich. The couple both use the identical Thai nickname Nok, which translates to bird. Together, they have three children: two sons named Gun and Bom, and a daughter named Dom.
