Utt Panichkul

Greg Uttsada Panichkul, born September 3, 1973, is a Thai–American actor, television presenter, and model. He is widely recognized for his extensive work as a VJ for MTV Asia, a role he held for over 15 years, establishing him as one of Asia's longest-running television hosts.

Panichkul was born and raised in California within a Thai Chinese household, where his father worked as a social science professor. He initially pursued higher education at California State University, Northridge, majoring in Biology. He later transferred to Assumption University in Thailand to major in Communication Arts, where he began modeling to raise funds for a plane ticket back to California.

Being fluent in both English and Thai, Panichkul transitioned into acting and appeared in several Thai television series. One of his notable early screen roles came in the 1997 production Song Klam Doag Rak, in which he played an HIV-positive sex worker. His performance in the series earned him a nomination for Best Actor at the Thailand Television Awards.

Beyond his television hosting and acting, Panichkul has expanded his career into corporate and executive roles in the entertainment industry. He served as the Director of Entertainment at IN Channel in Thailand. Additionally, he holds a directorship at Beam Artistes in Singapore and acts as the owner and director of Seven95ive Artistes, a Singapore-based artiste management company.

Panichkul has also worked as a commercial spokesperson for brands such as Giordano, Pepsi, and Brand's Essence of Chicken. His screen appearances include a small role in the music video for Linkin Park's song "Burning In The Skies," where he played a man who breaks a sweat and jumps out of a fire.

Throughout his career, Panichkul has served as a judge on various talent and reality television programs. Alongside former model Thúy Hạnh, he worked as a permanent judge for the MTV VJ Hunt on MTV Vietnam. He has also appeared as a regular guest judge on the fashion competition series Supermodel Me.
