Cris Horwang

Cris Horwang, born Celine Horwang on July 5, 1980, in Bangkok, Thailand, is a Thai actress, model, singer, presenter, DJ, choreographer, and ballet instructor. She gained widespread public recognition following her breakthrough starring performance in a major romantic comedy film in 2009.

She began working in the entertainment industry at the age of 14, appearing initially in commercial advertisements. She pursued her education at Ruamrudee International School and received dance training at the Aree Dance Arts School in Bangkok. Following the 1997 economic crisis, her parents sent her to study abroad. She completed her high school education at the Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Boston and pursued advanced ballet studies at the California Institute of the Arts in the United States, where she earned her bachelor's degree.

Upon graduating from CalArts, she returned to Bangkok and began her professional career. She served as a dance instructor at the International School Bangkok and secured her first major media role as a DJ for the radio station 104.5 Fat Radio alongside Koy Rachawin, a position she gained through an invitation from Ploy Horwang. Over her first seven years in the Thai entertainment sector, she expanded her work into modeling, hosting, and singing.

Her film career began after producer Tom Yutthalerd cast her in the romantic comedy E-Tim Tai Nae, where she played the supporting character Ma Khin. This performance led to her being cast as the lead character, Meili, alongside actor Ken Theeradej in the 2009 romantic comedy Bangkok Traffic Love Story. The film became a major commercial success, generating over 100 million Baht, winning numerous accolades, and establishing her as a prominent figure in the Thai entertainment industry.

Following her breakthrough, Horwang continued to build a diverse filmography. Her subsequent movie credits include Saturday Killer in 2010, Headshot in 2011, Seven Something in 2012, Choice in 2013, Oh My Ghost in 2013, and The Life of Gravity in 2014. Beyond feature films, she extended her television presence by serving as a mentor on the reality series The Face Thailand, and she appeared as a guest judge on the third episode of the first season of Drag Race Thailand in 2018.

In addition to her performance and teaching roles in dance and media, Horwang launched a personal business initiative in 2011. She established her own commercial fashion brand, Secret Weapon, which specializes in handbags and related accessories.
