Rahul Kohli

Rahul Kohli is a British actor born on November 13, 1985. He gained widespread recognition for his main role on the television series iZombie, as well as for his multiple screen appearances in horror productions created by filmmaker Mike Flanagan.

Kohli was born in London to Indian immigrant parents. His mother spent her youth in Thailand, while his father was raised in Kenya, and two of his grandparents were born in areas of British India that later formed part of Pakistan. For his education, Kohli attended Northolt High School and subsequently pursued media studies at Uxbridge College. He further developed his acting background by training with the Questors Theatre company in 2006.

His professional acting journey commenced in March 2007 when he appeared in the short film titled The Vacancy. Kohli achieved his major career breakthrough after being cast as Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti in the CW television series iZombie. He portrayed the main character across all 71 episodes throughout the show's run from 2015 to 2019. During this timeframe, he expanded his screen work with a role as Ed in the 2018 Netflix romantic comedy Happy Anniversary and guest-starred in two episodes of Supergirl between 2017 and 2019.

Alongside his live-action roles, Kohli expanded into voice acting, lending his voice to character roles such as Jonathan Crane, also known as Scarecrow, in the animated series Harley Quinn, and voicing Aarush Cheena in the Disney Junior show The Rocketeer.

In 2020, Kohli gained further prominence through his collaborations with director Mike Flanagan, beginning with his role as Owen Sharma in the Netflix horror series The Haunting of Bly Manor. He worked with Flanagan again on the September 2021 supernatural miniseries Midnight Mass, playing Sheriff Hassan Shabazz, and later joined the cast of the 2023 project The Fall of the House of Usher, as well as the Amazon Prime series Carrie.

In addition to his collaborations with Flanagan, Kohli appeared in the 2022 feature film Next Exit. His subsequent television credits include the 2024 Hulu mystery series Death and Other Details and the 2025 Amazon Prime series We Were Liars.

In his personal life, Kohli is an enthusiastic video game player and a fan of Liverpool FC. He announced an engagement to Yasmin Molloy in July 2018, though the couple later parted ways. In late 2019, he entered a relationship with Australian video game creator and writer Alanah Pearce, and the two eventually moved into a shared home together.
