Nana Mizuki

Nana Mizuki, born Nana Kondo on January 21, 1980, is a Japanese voice actress, singer, and narrator affiliated with the agency StarCrew. She is widely recognized for her voice acting in anime and video games, portraying prominent characters such as Hinata Hyuga in Naruto and Boruto, Fate Testarossa in Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, Colette Brunel in Tales of Symphonia, Ann Takamaki in Persona 5, and Cure Blossom in Heartcatch Precure!. Mizuki also provides Japanese voice dubbing for foreign media, notably playing Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games film series and voicing characters in live-action television series including Itazura na Kiss.

Raised in Niihama, Ehime Prefecture, Mizuki began early training as an enka singer at age five. In 1993, she released a cassette single titled "Tsugazakura" under her birth name. She shifted toward voice acting after passing an audition for the video game Noel: La Neige in 1997. After performing her first live concert at age twenty, music producer Akio Mishima scouted her for the record label King Records.

Mizuki debuted as a musical artist under King Records with the single "Omoi" in December 2000, followed by her first album, Supersonic Girl, in 2001. Her commercial success grew with her 2004 single "Innocent Starter," her first release to reach the Oricon top ten, followed by "Eternal Blaze," which reached number two in 2005. Mizuki achieved landmark chart achievements when her 2009 album Ultimate Diamond and her 2010 single "Phantom Minds" both debuted at number one, making her the first voice actress to top either Oricon weekly chart since their inception in 1968.

Mizuki's musical accomplishments earned her six consecutive annual appearances on NHK's New Year's Eve program Kohaku Uta Gassen starting in 2009. She established historic live performance milestones, becoming the first voice actress to hold a solo concert at the Tokyo Dome in 2011 and the first solo artist to headline at Koshien Stadium in 2016. Her performance career encompasses a seven-day residency at the Nippon Budokan, multiple international solo concerts in regions such as Taiwan, Singapore, China, South Korea, and Hong Kong, and performances across all 47 prefectures of Japan by July 2022.

In addition to voice acting and solo music releases, Mizuki made her stage acting debut in 2017 in the lead role of a Japanese production of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. Her honors include a Seiyu Award for Best Musical Performance, the Tomiyama Kei Award, multiple Billboard Japan Music Awards, and the MEXT Art Encouragement Prize for Rookie of the Year. In her personal life, Mizuki announced her marriage in July 2020 and gave birth to her first child in March 2021.
