Jessie James Decker

Jessica Rose James Decker, born April 12, 1988, is an American country pop singer and television personality. She is best known for her recording career spanning multiple country-pop albums and extended plays, as well as for starring alongside her husband, National Football League wide receiver Eric Decker, in the reality television series Eric & Jessie: Game On. She is also the founder of the clothing brand Kittenish.

Decker was born on an American military base in Vicenza, Italy, to Karen Johnson and Robert James. Because her stepfather served in the United States Air Force, she lived in several states growing up, including Iowa, Kentucky, Texas, Louisiana, and Georgia, eventually graduating from Warner Robins High School in 2007. She began singing at two years old and won her first talent contest at age nine. By age fifteen, she was making weekly trips to Nashville, Tennessee, to hone her songwriting skills.

At seventeen, Decker began working with Carla Wallace at the independent label Big Yellow Dog Music. After auditioning for executive L.A. Reid with her song "My Cowboy," she secured a recording contract with Mercury Records. Although she identified as a country artist, record executives directed her toward pop music. Her self-titled debut album, Jessie James, was released in August 2009 and debuted at number 23 on the Billboard 200, while its lead single "Wanted" reached number 40 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Decker subsequently sought to record country music, working with Show Dog-Universal Music to release country singles such as "Boys in the Summer," "When You Say My Name," and "Military Man." In April 2014, she released the EP Comin' Home, which reached number one on the iTunes top albums chart and the top five on Billboard's top country albums chart. After signing with Epic Records, she released the EP Gold and her second full-length album, Southern Girl City Lights, in 2017. She followed with the holiday album On This Holiday in 2018, the EP The Woman I've Become in 2021, and the holiday EP Decker the Halls in 2022.

In addition to her recording career, Decker starred in the E! reality show Eric & Jessie: Game On, which ran for 20 episodes over three seasons between 2013 and 2017. She competed on season 31 of Dancing with the Stars in 2022, finishing in 10th place, and performed live at events such as WWE's WrestleMania 38 and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. She also launched her clothing line, Kittenish, online and opened physical storefronts in Nashville and near Destin, Florida. Decker married Eric Decker on June 22, 2013, and the couple has four children.
